The work of mixed media artist Robin Kolleman (Dwingeloo, NL, 1960) is vulnerable and confronting. She examines the domain and limits of acceptance within physical social intercourse. Three stadia of contact, sight, touch and corrosion, have become distinctive in her work. No matter which medium she chooses; there is an omnipresent physical form of discomfort tangible. And so, her work gives rise to questions such as "Do I find this pleasing?", "Do I want to see or feel this?" or "Can I touch this?" Answering them is up to you…..
