Inge Aanstoot en Roos van Haaften

Inge Aanstoot en Roos van Haaften

Opening: Sunday, 14 November at 15.00 by Theo Coskun, member of the daily board of the Charlois Municipality, art and culture.

Inge Aanstoot paints. In 2009 she graduated from the Willem de Koning Academie in Rotterdam and won the 'Your World Art Award' that same year. Inge Aanstoot's paintings are intensely expressive and have been inspired by her fascination with the human being's powers of association – an ability that cannot be switched off.

Roos van Haaften draws. In 2009 she took a Master's degree from WCA University of the Arts in London. Roos van Haaften's work explores encounters in urban environments between human beings and animals. Her installations consist of dream-like and film-fragmentesque drawings staged in shadows.

These two artists are visually connected in that their work shares the mystique of an alienated world, which provides room for wonderment and a personal interpretation.

5 December 15.00 Lecture by Hugo Bongers, art connoisseur and secretary of the RRKC.

19 December 15.00 Finissage with music.

This exhibition has been made possible in part by contributions from the Rotterdams Vrouwenfonds, the municipality of Charlois, Stichting Hommes Foundation and Artlight.
