30 March t/m 6 May 2012

Opening 30 March from 19.00 hr. with music from Franz Schubert performed by Waldin Roes and Janine de Leeuw.

Finissage 6 May from 16.00 hr. with the presentation of the working material for the artist publication ‘Flora + Fauna'  from Karin Trenkel.

Karin Trenkel's installations look like stage settings that play with the interaction between flat and spatial representations of landscape. They form almost-kitschy images, however Trenkel's knowledge of the scenery precludes any sentiment. For this they remain unsettling. In her exhibition Karin Trenkel has formed two nature reserves: a reservoir and a reserve. From countless sheets of coloured paper she creates a geometric ‘natural spectacle'.

Thomas Nolden creates paintings of meadows with sheep; his shades of green and grey connect the damp air, the meadow and the wool. Made on the pasture, the paintings capture the sheep's shyness and character yet avoid any undue humanization in their portrayal. A vivid picture of nature built entirely on the use of colour.
